Hepimizin güncel olaylar vasıtasıyla anlamış olduğu gibi okulumuzun Öğrenci Konseyinin bizim için güçlü bir ses olması çok önemli. Konseyin; bizim istek ve ihtiyaçlarımızı göz etmesi, bunları gerçekliğe kavuşturmak için gerekli sağduyuya, hassaslığa ve inisiyatif alma becerisine sahip olması gerekiyor. Aynı zamanda, kampüsteki varlığını belirtmeli ve öğrenciyle sağlam ve devamlı iletişimi korumaya özen göstermeli. Kaçımız konseyin ne yaptığından haberdar? Kaçımız konseyin kampüsümüze katkılarını kendi gözleriyle görüyor? Kaçımız daha önce konseyle doğrudan iletişim kurdu? Bu üniversitenin öğrencilerinin çıkarlarını temsil edecek etkin ve nüfuzlu bir Öğrenci Konseyi hak ettiği apaçık.

As we have all come to realise due to recent circumstances, it is very important that the Student Council represents us firmly. The council must hold our interests and needs at heart, and have the necessary judgment, sensitivity, and ability to take initiative. Simultaneously, it must emphasise its presence on campus and maintain strong and continuous communication with the student body. How many of us are aware of the operations of the council? How many of us personally observe their contributions to our campus? How many of us have directly contacted the council before? Clearly, the students of this university deserve an active and influential Student Council to represent their best interests.

		Ahmet Aybars Pektaş
		Dear friends, I am Aybars Pektas, a senior student in the Industrial Engineering department. Alongside my academic life, I have undertaken various roles such as being a member of the Men's Volleyball Team and serving as the president of the Drama Atolyesi (Theater Club). This year, I have declared my candidacy with the intention of representing our department and faculty in the student council to the best of my abilities. Since the day I arrived at Bilkent University, I have been active in many areas, including sports, arts, and improving campus life, for my fellow students and our campus. From today onwards, I wish to represent you in the council to better understand and convey your needs and ideas. It would be an indescribable joy for me to be one of the voices of this generation that can strongly demonstrate the presence of democracy on campus. Thank you in advance for all your support and efforts, from your thoughts to your voices, for me and our home, this campus.
